Verdict

Solid and consistent on the AW at Dundalk LAPILLI can get a decent tow into the race from a central draw under jockey Gavin Ryan. The seven-year-old can go well at a price with the Joseph O'Brien-trained Gee Rex the biggest potential danger. The gelded son of Requinto will be having his first start for the yard who have a 31% win and place strike rate in the last four years with season and career debutantes in June. Poet's Pride, a winner at Dundalk in February and Rattling Jewel on stable debut can compete for remaining prize money.
