Landed a notable 6f handicap at Goodwood in 2017 for Andrew Balding. Well held when last seen in a 6f handicap over C&D in March. Needs to step up on that form to play a role here.

Seen on the AW at Dundalk over the winter without success. Winner of seven of his 40 turf starts but still races off 8lb higher than last winning mark. May need a few to falter.

Remains a maiden after 15 starts. Well held in four starts last term between August and November. Could be worth a check in the market on stable debut.

Struggling veteran of 59 starts on turf and now races 14lb lower than last winning mark. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Off the mark for connections at the 11th time of asking when landing a Navan 5½f maiden on good to firm ground last July. Generally well held since and has quickly come back down to below last winning mark. Others preferred.

Running well in a series of starts on the AW at Dundalk over the winter, the gelding remains without a win in 10 starts on turf. Not easily dismissed.

Winner over this trip on a couple of occasions and has hit the frame from five starts over C&D. Badly out of form in three starts when last seen in October and needs others to underperform in this contest.

Miserly return of just the one win from 22 career starts. Last of 14 when last seen in January on the AW at Dundalk. Plenty to prove but a big run would not surprise.

11-race maiden on turf. Finding the company too hot in a number of starts for the daughter of Bungle Inthejungle since August. Hard to make a case for on stable debut for Co Galway outfit.

Verdict

Solid and consistent on the AW at Dundalk LAPILLI can get a decent tow into the race from a central draw under jockey Gavin Ryan. The seven-year-old can go well at a price with the Joseph O'Brien-trained Gee Rex the biggest potential danger. The gelded son of Requinto will be having his first start for the yard who have a 31% win and place strike rate in the last four years with season and career debutantes in June. Poet's Pride, a winner at Dundalk in February and Rattling Jewel on stable debut can compete for remaining prize money.
