Verdict

It's been over a year since PONS AELIUS last got his head in front but he has slipped to a good mark and the form of his latest effort in the Northumberland Vase at Newcastle gives him very strong claims indeed. That said, this is a competitive race for the grade and Surrey Belle is next on a shortlist, which also includes recent C&D 1-2 Grand Duchess Olga and Doublethetrouble. Wannabe Brave is also accorded respect.

  1. PONS AELIUS (IRE)
  2. SURREY BELLE
  3. GRAND DUCHESS OLGA
