Forecasts

Better Times Ahead (11/4), Read To Return (4/1), Macdermott (5/1), St Denis's Well (5/1), Birchdale (11/2), Battle Of Mirbat (9/1), Walk Away (12/1), Cavalry Master (12/1), Bodhisattva (14/1), Potters Party (14/1), Salmanino (33/1)

Verdict

It could be worth siding with BETTER TIMES AHEAD, who signed off last season with a decisive breakthrough success upped to 3m at Navan and he should be all the better for his reappearance spin at Gowran where he was returning from an 11-month absence. Robert Tyner's charge is unexposed as a stayer. Macdermott is untried beyond 21f but he remains open to improvement as a chaser and will be a threat if his jumping/stamina holds out here. St Denis's Well is also shortlisted.

  1. BETTER TIMES AHEAD (IRE)
  2. MACDERMOTT (FR)
  3. ST DENIS'S WELL (IRE)
