Verdict

A case can be made for lots of these but STRICTLYADANCER took this prize in 2021 and comes here on the back of an encourging C&D fourth behind Mole Court so edges the vote off a lenient-looking mark. Ben Pauling's upwardly-mobile chaser Mole Court rates the main threat in his bid for a five-timer, although Irish-challengers Read To Return and Hascoeur Clermont need factoring in too. Latitude and Manothepeople complete the shortlist.

  1. STRICTLYADANCER (IRE)
  2. MOLE COURT (IRE)
  3. READ TO RETURN (IRE)
