Verdict

With Chris Gordon's string in terrific form, DIAMOND EGG is an appealing alternative to likely favourite Klitschko. The bumper he landed at Huntingdon wasn't much of a race but he's bred to make up into a better jumper and the drying ground is a plus. Klitschko was also successful in a bumper last May and is very much the one to beat judged on his effort at Newbury on New Year's Eve. Mardoof has shown enough to suggest that he'll pick up a race before long and he is best of the rest.

  1. DIAMOND EGG (FR)
  2. KLITSCHKO
  3. MARDOOF (IRE)
