Verdict

This represents a drop in class for CHIEFOFCHIEFS, who is often seen in top 6f/7f handicaps and he was a fine fifth in the 2021 Stewards' Cup over C&D off a 6 lb higher mark on his sole previous visit here. The 9-y-o is taken to get his head back in front. Lovely Breeze likes it here and is next on the list ahead of Spanish Star, a rival she was beaten by in this race 12 months ago but renews rivalry on 4 lb better terms this time round. The progressive Dora Penny also merits respect.

  1. CHIEFOFCHIEFS
  2. LOVELY BREEZE (IRE)
  3. SPANISH STAR (IRE)
