Verdict

Two lightly-raced sorts from top stables do rather stand out in this year's renewal of the Bunbury Cup. MONTASSIB's first experience of a big-field handicap at Royal Ascot last month should hold him in good stead here and he's narrowly preferred to sole 3-y-o Samburu, who like the selection actually advanced his form when meeting with defeat for the first time at the Royal meeting. Buckingham Palace second/third Ropey Guest and Rhoscolyn also make the shortlist along with Jumby.

  1. MONTASSIB
  2. SAMBURU
  3. ROPEY GUEST
