Verdict

A chance is taken on MODUS, who should be sharper for a run over hurdles earlier this month and has come in for some potentially lenient treatment from the handicapper given he was as good as ever in Britain last winter. The Shunter, Top Moon and Off You Go are other live contenders in the J P McManus silks. Last year's second Royal Rendezvous may prove best of the Willie Mullins contingent.
