Verdict

DARKDESERTHIGHWAY proved friendless in the betting (sent off at 66/1) but managed to get the job done in ready fashion when landing a C&D handicap 10 days ago. Her rider's claim offsets most of her subsequent weight rise, and given her low-mileage profile, she may well be up to following up. Pretty Smart, Fine Distraction and veteran Doonard Prince head up the dangers.
