Verdict

A maiden which to a large extent revolves around VAN GOGH who will be very hard to beat if reproducing anything like the form he showed when runner-up in Group 2 company a couple of weeks ago. Colour Sergeant has had a few chances but he can place again. The selection's stablemate National Ballet and Jim Bolger's Wisteria Girl are newcomers who make paper appeal.

  1. VAN GOGH (USA)
  2. COLOUR SERGEANT (IRE)
  3. NATIONAL BALLET (JPN)
