Verdict

BLUE BEIRUT was short of room at a crucial stage at Lingfield a fortnight ago but could have got a lot closer to the winner that day if he'd negotiated a clearer passage. It'd be no surprise to see him try to draw the sting out of the rest and and make a bold attempt to slip the field. Esspeegee also has to be considered even though it's a long while since he was able to put a sequence together, while Homing Star fared well back on the Flat last time and is another with leading claims if able to up the ante again. Capricorn Prince has improved since being stepped up in trip and, along with New Millennium, also merits thought in a very weak finale.
  1. Blue Beirut
  2. Esspeegee
  3. Homing Star
