Verdict

Chaparral Dream and Universal Focus are still racing 11lb and 15lb higher than their last winning marks so it may pay to side with the Jessica Harrington-trained PEPPERONI PETE who can add to his sole win in 12 starts following a promising run over C&D when finishing third of 13 not beaten far in a bunch finish. The three-year-old's running style could give him first run on the field with C&D winners Pak Army, going for a hat-trick of wins here and Lachet, a winner late last month. The first-time cheekpieces for Queen Amidala could spark an improvement.
  1. Pepperoni Pete
  2. Pak Army
  3. Latchet
