Verdict

A fascinating Listed handicap hurdle with a real mixture of backgrounds in the contest. Tobefair always has to be respected here but he is rising fast in the handicap and even with his genuine attitude he may prove vulnerable. The Butcher Said, Smackwater Jack and EVA’S OSKAR are a trio of 5yo’s that all have something going for them although the first two named have something to prove over this trip and it’s the final member of that trio whose chosen to make his light weight and progressive nature count as he bids to complete a four-timer. Eminent Poet can’t be left out of calculations with the handicapper starting to relent while Vieux Lion Rouge is nicely handicapped returning to hurdles.
  1. Eva's Oskar
  2. Eminent Poet
  3. Tobefair
