The Joseph O'Brien-trained FAKIR D'OUDAIRIES is taken to land the spoils on Irish chasing debut following a number of solid novice and juvenile hurdle efforts last term. The Kapgarde gelding can fend off the attentions of Grade 1 Champion hurdle runner-up Melon on debut over fences for trainer Willie Mullins. The seven-year-old was never the same in two starts since falling three out when seemingly in command at Aintree in April.
