Verdict

Another wide open handicap on the card which could well throw up a big price winner. The Mick Halford yard boast a 44% win and place strike rate at this venue in October with their handicappers since 2015 and their C&D winner SKY SEVEN can run a big race here. The Helmet colt won over C&D in March as the 2/1f off a 3lb higher mark and has continued to run well in defeat on turf over the summer months. The solid and consistent Phoenix Open and the Johnny Murtagh-trained Lord Rapscallion can duel for place prize money. A couple that could go well at a price are the Joseph O'Brien-trained Equitant and Excelcius for the Ger Lyons yard.
