Verdict

A decent renewal of this Grade 3 contest, in which plenty of these have something to prove. That statement does not apply to Davids Charm, who achieved a clear career-best when taking his form to a new level over hurdles last month. He finished in front of Ballyoisin then, and should confirm that form on these terms. Winter Escape signed off his 2018-19 campaign on a sour note when pulling-up at the Punchestown Festival, but isn't totally ruled out. However, a tentative vote is given to Petit Mouchoir who, on his day, is head and shoulders above his rivals, and can get his season off to a winning start in a race which represents a drop in class.
  1. Petit Mouchoir
  2. Winter Escape
  3. Davids Charm
