Verdict

Plenty to consider in a typically competitive handicap for the track, with 2017 winner ST BRELADES BAY taken to turn the clock back having only recently fallen back to a winnable mark, and his apprentice rider is value for his claim. Oisin Murphy is another interesting booking for Scorching Heat, having ridden that horse to his last win for Andrew Balding. The unexposed Erich Bloch has been off since May, but is open to improvement and needs a market check for the connections which won last week's Ebor.
  1. St Brelades Bay
  2. Scorching Heat
  3. Erich Bloch
