Verdict

A seriously competitive handicap in which any number can be considered. The very lightly raced Frankel gelding Herculean looks open to most improvement despite shouldering 9st 12lb, although the market is likely to reflect that fact and he'll offer little in the way of any value. Frontispiece (fifth) and C Note (eighth) both competed in a strong Class 3 contest at Newbury in April and are worthy of an each-way mention at rewarding odds, while Tralee Hills (2-3 on turf) could find more improvement for wind surgery. However, a slight chance is taken that MANDARIN will handle the soft ground in what promises to be a rewarding season ahead for Ian Williams.
  1. Mandarin
  2. Herculean
  3. Frontispiece
