Verdict

The perseverance of connections have paid off handsomely for connections of OUR JERRY who has returned in style from a 900-day break to follow up a fine second of 11 at Ayr in February by landing the spoils in a Cork handicap hurdle over 2m on soft ground off an 8lb lower mark last month. The eight-year-old can hold off the attentions of the the likes of potential improver, Sillogue Pio and the Denis Hogan-trained Barna Venture. In a wide open contest Amadeus could go well at a big price.
