Verdict

This is devilishly competitive stuff. Lord Erskine (first reserve) won really well four days ago and would be very hard to beat if he gets a run here. Oskar High was an improved performer last season and could be danger if ready to go on the back of a break. Play The Dane makes some appeal going back up in trip for handicap debut. Money for Be My Westener or Goodnightgodbless could well be significant as they are both likely to be better than they have shown to date. We will take a chance though on HERO’S WELCOME coming good on his second handicap run. He shaped with promise at Tramore last time and this step up in trip looks a good move. Any market support would only enhance confidence.
  1. Hero's Welcome
  2. Lord Erskine
  3. Oskar High
