Verdict

A tough handicap to unravel with a few of the fancied runners facing difficult wide draws like the improving C&D winner Murdanova who faces a 4lb rise here in pursuit of a hat-trick. Mr Minerals is another of that bunch who faces the same problem with the course specialist but up in grade Magic Mirror another in the double-figure stalls. It may therefore be best to concentrate on a couple of the more lightly-raced types one of which would be Ptarmigan Ridge on his handicap debut. However, he’s just usurped here by WARSAW ROAD who ended last year with two wins to give him a really good record at the trip with every hope that he’ll be suited by this surface.
  1. Warsaw Road
  2. Ptarmigan Ridge
  3. Murdanova
