The Groove (4/1), Buckland Beau (9/2), The King's Steed (9/2), Squire (5/1), Ross Raith Rover (5/1), Ashazuri (7/1), Connemera Queen (12/1), Settle Petal (14/1), Barrsbrook (16/1), Buzz Lightyere (16/1), Gorham's Cave (33/1), Helis (50/1), Millie May (66/1), Live Dangerously (80/1)

Verdict

A few of these have possibilities from their current marks and a lot is going to depend on how the race develops for the likes of Ross Raith Rover and Connemara Queen who need to be held up as long as possible. Barrsbrook and Gorham's Cove are interesting on their handicap debuts. Settle Petal and Squire went close enough last time to make the shortlist, but the vote goes to ASHAZURRI. Her sole career success came in this grade and trainer Jonathan Portman is 2-7 over the past two weeks.
  1. Ashazuri
  2. Settle Petal
  3. Squire
