Not all that much in the way of reliable form to go on, and the go-to yards in these type of races, William Haggas and Mark Johnston saddle what can politely be described as a couple of horses who are unlikely to be stable stars (
Regina Nostra and
Zadorra). A couple of the other runners have displayed slightly more initial promise than that pair, and these include the returning
Porrima and the upped in trip
Mayfair Rock. However, the safest play could be the once raced Mick Channon trained filly
MARIETTA ROBUSTI. She was getting the hang of things late on at Chelmsford, and a stiffer test of stamina should suit (track), and it can only be considered as a further positive that the supremely talented Josephine Gordon now takes the ride.
