Verdict

In recent years it has paid to be drawn high and to carry 8-12 to 9-3. SHANGHAI GLORY meets those criteria and arrives following a bold show in the Stewards Cup when he was not amongst those drawn more favourably up the centre. A Listed winner with a 4-14 record he has a touch of class which suggest he might be better than this. Richard Fahey and David O'Meara have dominated this in recent years. Growl and Eastern Impact are classy individuals representing the former. Al Qahwa and the Wokingham winner Out Do are both nicely drawn for the O'Meara team and command respect. George Dryden, fifth last year, is well treated on that effort and is to be noted with the stable showing signs of returning to form. He could be one for each-way support if bookmakers are offering 5-6 places.
  1. Shanghai Glory
  2. Growl
  3. Al Qahwa
