Winner at Brighton in October. Run best excused when eighth of 11 in novice at Kempton (6f, 13/2) 29 days ago, not ideally placed given how the race unfolded.

Tongue strap on, shaped well when third of 10 in novice at Wolverhampton (6.1f, 11/1) on debut 31 days ago, staying on well. Will improve and every chance he'll go a couple of places better (runner-up that day has won since).

Bred to be sharp but held back by inexperience when sixth of 11 in novice at Newmarket (6f, good to soft, 17/2) on debut just under 7 weeks ago, never getting on terms. May well do better.

11/2, still looked green when sixth of 11 in maiden at this C&D just over 5 weeks ago, slowly away. Will be of more interest in handicaps after this.

Runner-up over 7f at Newcastle on debut but failed to progress when sixth of 9 in novice at same course (7.1f, 10/1) 26 days ago, hanging right from under 2f out

Highly promising first effort when close third at Windsor in May but found things too competitive when 7¼ lengths fifteenth of 24 to Leovanni in Queen Mary Stakes (150/1) at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) the following month. Off since. Up in trip. Can make presence felt back in this grade.

Forecasts

Don Pacifico (11/8), Reporter (3/1), Sands Of Havana (9/2), Stardancer (7/1), Mini Mac (12/1), Boyne Lady (20/1), King At The Races (25/1), The Voominator (25/1), Lucky Escape (66/1), Trust Sergei (100/1)

Verdict

DON PACIFICO shaped well when third at Wolverhampton last month and with improvement on the cards, Simon & Ed Crisford's colt is fancied to go a couple of places better at the expense of Stardancer, who was held back by inexperience at Newmarket on debut but should have derived plenty from that initial outing. Sands of Havana found the Queen Mary too much second time up so she can get back on track returned to calmer waters.
