Menaggio28
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-8| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King| OR:  126| CD
Winner of third start over hurdles and improved when runner-up on handicap debut at Kempton in May. After 6 months off, progressed again when making a successful chasing bow at this C&D (soft) last time, well on top finish. Looks the one to beat.

Won 3 times over hurdles for Charlie Longsdon in 2023. However, well held final 2 outings last year and hasn't fared much better for current yard this season, off 4 months prior to latest run 10 days ago. Others more persuasive as he goes chasing.

Inca De Lafayettet24
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: H Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  120
Showed improved form in handicap hurdles last season, successful twice at up to 19f and ended the campaign with a good second at Taunton. Shaped as if better for run after 8-month absence at Cheltenham 24 days ago, so he's not discounted on chase debut.

Sea Invasion215
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Rex Dingle| T: A J Honeyball| OR:  120| C
Runner-up only start in points in 2022 and steadily progressive over hurdles for Chris Gordon last season, opening account on handicap debut at this C&D in March. Good third at Cheltenham the following month and he's one to note on stable/chase bow.

Forecasts

Menaggio (10/11), Sea Invasion (5/2), Inca De Lafayette (5/1), Everyonesgame (8/1)

Verdict

MENAGGIO made a promising start over fences when winning at this C&D last month, quickly settling the issue after the last, and he looks to hold leading claims with further improvement to come. Of the chasing debutants in opposition, Sea Invasion went the right way over hurdles last season and could be the main danger, ahead of Inca de Lafayette.
