Fairly useful maiden hurdler at his best but he proved to be a disappointment on debut for new yard when fifth of 9 in novice hurdle at Fontwell (19.1f) on Sunday. Needs to leave that behind turned out quickly.

Showed plenty when midfield in 10-runner Chepstow novice (2m) during early 2023. Didn't progress as expected in trio of starts last season but possible testing ground didn't suit him then and feasible to think he could get back on the up as a 6-y-o.

Very lightly raced for an 8-y-o and he ran creditably when second of 14 in novice hurdle at Southwell (20.4f, good) in June. Not out of the question he could yet have more to offer now his stamina is tested further.

Improved with each start in bumpers, off the mark in a weak 11-runner contest at Perth (16.2f) 25 days ago. No surprise to see him hiked up in trip for hurdles debut (dam 3m winner over hurdles) and he's certainly not discounted.

In top hands and, back from 4 months off, he returned to form when third of 11 in handicap hurdle (7/1) at this C&D (good) 14 days ago, having run of race. Has had a number of chances already but he's entitled to be thereabouts again.

Made the frame in both points and off to a promising start under Rules when second of 8 in bumper at Uttoxeter (15.8f, heavy) last November. Warrants respect upped in trip on hurdles debut.

First sign of ability over hurdles when a well-held fourth in course novice (20f) 3 weeks ago but a lot more will be needed to get competitive here. Yard hold stronger claims with Anytrixwilldo.

Veteran who has offered little over hurdles/fences in recent seasons and percentage call is to look elsewhere returning from 13 months off.

€90,000 3-y-o, Milan gelding. Built on his hurdles debut effort when rallying for second in 9-runner Hexham maiden (20f) back in June. Further increase in trip now promises to suit on that evidence and he's open to further improvement.

Bumper winner who showed much more like her hurdling debut form starting off in handicaps in first-time cheekpieces when third at Fontwell (21.8f) in May 2023. Not seen since, however.

Underwhelming in handful of starts for Willie Mullins and fared no better for a wind op/3-month break starting out for new yard when sixth of 10 in novice hurdle at this course (2m, good) 21 days ago. Steps up significantly in trip now.

Forecasts

Mahler Moon (5/2), Moonset (4/1), Chancycourt (4/1), The Flying Poet (7/1), King Roly (17/2), Almuhit (10/1), Anytrixwilldo (11/1), Micronormous (16/1), Shaving (100/1), Noble Cave (100/1), Pennant Legacy (200/1), O'Grady's Boy (250/1)

Verdict

It's feasible to think ANYTRIXWILLDO remains with a bigger effort in his locker judged on his initial promise and, having possibly found deep ground against him in a light 2023/24 campaign, he could be worth chancing to hit the ground running over the longest trip he's faced. Bumper scorer King Roly, Chancycourt and Mahler Moon head up the dangers, with The Flying Poet another to keep an eye on upped further in distance.
