British EBF Lyric Fillies' Stakes (Fillies' & Mares' Listed)

Did well under the circumstances when taking 6-runner handicap at Haydock over this trip last month and shaped as if still in good form in 1m listed race at Pontefract since, lit up by switch to front-running tactics and paying the price late on. Wouldn't dismiss.

Made a winning debut at Newbury (7f) in April 2023. Hasn't really kicked on, although may have needed the run in the Kensington Palace at Royal Ascot on her return last month.

Avoided trouble ridden more prominently and got off the mark for the season in determined fashion in C&D handicap a fortnight ago. Steps up in class but has a likeable profile and wouldn't rule out.

Wolverhampton debut winner and some fair runs in listed events. Probably needs a bit more to come out on top back in trip.

Useful filly who was a creditable fourth in Ripon handicap over this trip in May. Not so good in listed race at Pontefract last month and needs more. Looks best with cut in the ground.

Won 1m Newmarket maiden in April and good placed efforts after in hot 1m listed event here/Goodwood race over this trip. Well held at Sandown last time but could bounce back on this quicker ground.

Smart prospect who made very short work of drop in grade in Salisbury fillies' novice over this trip last month, easing clear under this rider. This looks an ideal stepping stone to better things (holds Group 1 entries).

Well-bred filly who won 1m Newcastle maiden on return and ran well in Chelmsford novice over this trip 7 weeks ago, possibly going with a little too much exuberance. Makes turf debut upped markedly in grade now and she needs plenty more.

Won extended 1m Nottingham maiden in the mud in September. Not seen to best effect in a race that developed into something of a sprint from the home turn in France last time but lots more needed to take a hand here down in trip.
