Progressive sort, particularly this year and followed up an excellent second at Sandown with a win at the Goodwood Festival in a competitive heat. 6lb rise fair and conceivable there's more to come this season but widest draw not ideal.

Very impressive when winning by 6L at Sandown in June but has struggled from his revised mark twice since. Yard are in good form and both the first-time blinkers and a talented apprentice taking off 3lb should help. Place claims.

Put in a career best when winning a Listed event at Pontefract on final start of 2017. Tailed off in this year's renewal last time though and hasn't been at his best in six starts this year; may want soft ground to be seen to maximum effect.

Gained a first win since his two-year-old career at Ayr last time, staying on well under pressure. Has placed on three of his four starts at this course and useful apprentice takes 3lb off his back. Can't be ruled out but draw not ideal.

Not at his best when well beaten in hat-trick bid upped in class at Haydock last time out. Rates as the type to keep improving for this yard though and this jockey has been on board for all three of his career wins. Place claims.

Started this campaign in promising fashion with placed efforts at Newmarket and over C&D. Form of the latter is working out well but he's failed to run his race on his last two starts and has a bit to prove at present.

Recorded a hat-trick earlier in the year before failing to justify favouritism on his next two starts. Better than what he showed last time when well beaten at Doncaster but looks vulnerable off this sort of mark in a race this competitive.

Career best effort came over C&D in June when an impressive 3L winner. Showed very little at Haydock in his follow up bid but ran a better race at Goodwood last time and didn't get a clear run in that contest. Remains capable of better.

Won back-to-back races, firstly Haydock and then at Ayr before well beaten at Ripon in his hat-trick bid. Left that effort behind when runner-up back at Ayr last month and yard often continue to eke out improvement from these types.

Form tailed off towards the end of last year but started life for his new yard on a good mark as a result and has won twice already this season. Only narrowly denied over C&D two starts back but has never won from a mark this high.

Well treated on form of his third on heavy ground at Ripon in April, but rather a mixed bag since, and all three handicap wins have come with plenty of ease in the ground. Needs the rain to arrive but a live player if it does.

Habitual slow starter and losing run is starting to mount up now. Has placed in a couple of starts at Ayr this year but well beaten on his last two outings and this is more competitive. Others preferred.

Formerly with Sir Michael Stoute. Gained his first career win earlier in the campaign at Nottingham and held his form well since with several placed efforts and a win at Newmarket. Likes to front run and has an ideal draw, not ruled out.

Career best when recording a C&D success last time out when overcoming a slow start. Won't want to get too far back in this field but less exposed than most and 6lb rise looks fair.

Not the most consistent sort, as seen when bidding to follow up a win at Ayr two starts back but got his season back on track with a win at Haydock last time. Conceivable there's more to come up in trip here.

Verdict

It might be worth taking a chance on ALEMARATALYOUM off bottom-weight after his win at Haydock last time. Consistency wouldn't be his forte but he shaped like he could be even better over this longer trip here and a 4lb rise is fair. First-time headgear may be the answer for Pivoine who was a bit better than the bare result at Goodwood last time and gets the talented Jason Watson taking off 3lb in the saddle. Scottish Summit will probably try and make all and couldn't be ruled out with the form he's in at present.
