Thomas Campbellb147
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: James Bowen(3)| T: N J Henderson| OR:  155| CD
20/1
Highly progressive early in this campaign, twice winning handicaps around here over the trip. Outclassed in Graded company previous two starts but respected in class-drop for yard that won in this in 2015. Wears first-time blinkers.

Horse silk
Who Dares Wins122
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: Wayne Hutchinson| T: A King| OR:  149
14/1
Grade 2 and Listed scorer over shorter trips, landed the Cesarewitch at Newmarket in the autumn on the Flat and solid in 2m5f good-ground Kempton event in November when last seen.
3
Horse silk
Boite26
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-5| J: G Sheehan| T: W Greatrex| OR:  148
33/1
Authorized gelding, easy winner at Taunton in January after a wind operation and still holding sound claims in Grade 2 Rendlesham at Haydock on testing ground last month when coming down.
4
Horse silk
Mine Now77
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-2| J: R Deegan(5)| T: Peter Fahey| OR:  145| D
25/1
Surprise winner (33/1) of a Leopardstown qualifier for this race at Christmas, just holding on at the line. Looks to have been given a tough task with a 10lb hike for that success.
6
Horse silk
Dell' Arcab,t20
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-2| J: Michael Heard(5)| T: D Pipe| OR:  145| C| D
50/1
Only 5lb higher than when running away with a Newbury qualifier for this in November on good to soft. Couple of hard tasks over hurdles since and ran over fences last month at Warwick. Could easily bounce back for yard that won this in 2010/2011.
7
Horse silk
Louis' Vac Pouchh124
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: R Johnson| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  145
10/1
Four wins from six starts in 2017, also ran well in defeat in Grade 3 handicap at Chepstow in October. Impressive soft-ground winner at Aintree in November and likely been aimed at this since. Should go well despite significant weight added.
8
Horse silk
Sykes61
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-13| J: Matt Griffiths| T: Nicky Martin| OR:  142| D
28/1
Consistent performer in handicap hurdles this season, with figures of 4122 since leaving Philip Hobbs for this trainer. Thriving but needs career-best to scoop this valuable prize.
9
Horse silk
Lovenormoneyv132
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-13| J: Andrew Tinkler| T: W Greatrex| OR:  142| D
22/1
Three from eight over timber including two wins since December. Very game and produced career-best to win at Exeter last month by 6L on heavy over this trip. First-time visor added, dangerous to dismiss.
10

Wait For Meh,t79
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-13| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  142
25/1
Useful hurdler, on a fair mark and will handle the softer ground. This trip does present a minor stamina concern and Champion Jockey seemingly prefers stablemate Louis' Vac Pouch.
11
Horse silk
Prime Venture40
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-12| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR:  141| D
40/1
Wide-margin scorer over 3m at Ffos Las on soft ground in November off mark of 130. Signs he can compete off increased mark at Warwick in January but poor latest run at Sandown and questions to answer now.
12
Horse silk
Sort It Out22
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-12| J: M P Walsh| T: E P Harty| OR:  141
10/1
Has Festival form with second in County Hurdle in 2015, showcased his stamina with sound run at Punchestown last month and, despite a tough mark, remains thoroughly unexposed at the trip.
13
Horse silk
Delta Workh,t22
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott| OR:  139
6/1
Just a maiden hurdle to his name from seven starts but has been running well in staying hurdles. Closely matched with Sort It Out on recent Punchestown run (dead-heated for third) but better off on today's terms.
14
Horse silk
Theo's Charm26
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-9| J: Tom Cannon| T: N J Gifford| OR:  138
33/1
Fair effort behind Stayers' Hurdle contender Sam Spinner at Haydock in November and just denied back there last month in a handicap over this trip on heavy. Could go well if conditions are in favour.
15
Horse silk
Taj Badalandabadt,v40
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-9| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe| OR:  138| D
40/1
Hit and miss performer (5-14 over hurdles) who would have chance on Huntingdon win in January. Poor either side of that effort but trainer much-respected in this sphere and stable jockey on board.
16
Horse silk
Whataknightt73
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-9| J: N D Fehily| T: H Fry| OR:  138| D
33/1
Lightly-raced for a nine-year-old but hasn't got his head in front over hurdles since May 2016 and plenty of work to do with some of these rivals on early season form. Poor here on New Year's Day when last seen.
17
Horse silk
Forza Milant1104
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-9| J: Killian Moore(3)| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  138
15/2
Ran well behind Louis' Vac Pouch at Aintree in November and another sound run at Newbury in December, both over staying trips. Just 4lb higher now and fitted with first-time tongue-tie; no surprise if he runs a big race under talented claimer.
18
Horse silk
The Mighty Don19
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-8| J: L P Aspell| T: N J Gifford| OR:  137
33/1
Has been busy over the course of the winter, no match for Taj Badalandabad at Huntingdon in January over this sort of trip and, despite much better Kempton run since, leaves him with questions to answer over this trip on a testing surface.
19
Horse silk
Protek Des Flos48
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-8| J: Aidan Coleman| T: N J Henderson| OR:  137| BF| C
14/1
Good winner at Wincanton on Boxing Day (Boite second) but didn't quite appear to get home since at Huntingdon behind Taj Badalandabad and that has to rank as a concern on forecast ground.
20
Horse silk
Kansas City Chiefp18
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-8| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  137| BF| D
25/1
Progressing nicely for this yard, most impressive when scoring at Doncaster in January over an extended three-miles on soft ground. Shot up in the ratings but certainly not one to overlook.
21
Horse silk
Glenloe77
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-8| J: B J Geraghty| T: G Elliott| OR:  137
9/2
Trio of strong efforts in Irish handicaps before the turn of the year, could be capable of better again and respected for last's year leading trainer at the meeting given he's adept at preparing for this sort of mission.
22
Horse silk
Dadsintrouble32
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-7| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR:  136
40/1
Couple of accidents in three runs over fences to start the season, then beaten 28L behind Lovenormoney at Exeter last month on return to hurdling. Stays this trip but must bounce back to very best form.
23
Horse silk
Connetableb19
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-7| J: H Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR:  136
33/1
Fair handicapper, tends to run his races and has been busy over the winter (eighth run). Hasn't truly looked like scoring in that sequence and has work to do with a few of these. Respected for former Champion Trainer nonetheless.
24
Horse silk
A Great Viewp39
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-6| J: Jody McGarvey| T: D Cullen| OR:  135
12/1
Promising effort over this trip at Leopardstown in December when just failing to get up, rated 9lb higher for this despite a disappointing effort behind Total Recall at the Foxrock track last month. Better effort not ruled out.

Verdict

Glenloe has been prominent in the betting having run well in Ireland pre-Christmas. Gordon Elliott is capable of improving one for the big day, and will need to do that to score here. Dell' Arca is respected for a yard that know how to win this and will go on the ground.Delta Work and Sort It Out may get involved, while top-weight Thomas Campbell is not dismissed lightly on his early season form now dropped in class. FORZA MILAN is unexposed and ran two promising races before Christmas. His trainer won this in 2013 and talented claimer Killian Moore could be key to more joy today.
