A five time winner over fences, who has tasted success in better races than this contest, but has fallen in the weights after some lesser shows of late. Returns to action for the first time since early June and interesting to see how he fares.
Now 14lb higher than when winning over 2m here in May (good), and this mark has largely appeared beyond his capabilities. His stamina must also come into question over 2m4f, and he couldn't exploit a lower hurdles mark at Worcester latest.
Has left Alan King to join a trainer who has enjoyed a productive start to his training career. He has been steady over fences in three starts without being overly competitive, but fully possible that he can take a step forward now.
Not the most consistent of performers, but generally best on the kind of ground he can expect to encounter today. Falling in the weights slightly, but needs to significantly better last month's Newton Abbot effort.
His first chasing success came at this track in April (2m7½f good), but he's progressed since then winning a further two races at Stratford (once over hurdles). Possibly not the most straightforward character and high in the weights, but respected.
His sole rules success came at Kempton in April (2m4½f good) when beating Clondaw Banker by 2¼L, but he folded worryingly tamely on his next start at Southwell. A break might have helped, and he has run well here previously.
Likes his own way out in front, and has employed those tactics successfully twice in the past, including at Market Rasen in August (2m3f+ good). Races from a 5lb higher mark, but with C&D winning form merits serious consideration.
Veteran who hasn't managed to get his head in front since November 2015 despite a few placed efforts in the interim period. Shouldn't really be capable of winning this nowadays and needs others to run well below par in order to do so.

Mille Nautique (2/1), Royal Plaza (7/2), Honkytonktennessee (9/2), Breath Of Blighty (8/1), Witness In Court (9/1), Deauville Dancer (10/1), Midnight Gem (10/1), Foundation Man (16/1), Helium (22/1)
MILLE NAUTIQUE likes to front run, and has employed those tactics to maximum effect in the past, so Tom Bellamy is likely to stick to a similar plan as this six-year-old gelding attempts to defy a 5lb rise for his August Market Rasen success. Both track and ground are ideal, so he's a confident choice to follow up in a race which probably lacks any real strength in depth. Perhaps his former stablemate Royal Plaza is best placed to pick up the pieces for the in-form Olly Murphy should any unforeseen mishaps occur.
