Had the two starts so far, showed plenty of promise on debut when second to Red Alert (winner gone in again since, third won a claimer) but didn't build on that at Wolverhampton last time. Needs this for a handicap mark and best watched after a break.
Too keen on debut at Kempton in April but did show some ability in finishing fourth, didn't really build on that when taking the same position at Bath but stayed on late. Had a break since so likely to need this, and may be one for handicaps after tonight.
Has run to a (decent) similar level all three start to date, and handled heavy ground fine on second of them, so no issue with ground. Turned over at odds-on last time but possibly bumped into a smart one, and a repeat of that takes him close here.
Showed enough on debut here last November to think there's a race in him, but three starts since very in-and-out, and a short-priced beaten favourite at Lingfield means he's not one to place maximum faith in. Disappointing last time and others progressing quicker.
Breeding suggests that we won't be seeing the best of this one until getting more of a stamina test, and a little disconcerting to see the headgear applied for debut as well. Best watched today.
Slowly away and never got into it on debut at Ripon earlier in the month, will know more this time around but still plenty to find on that and others preferred today.
Bred to be speedy and almost won on debut, just not quite getting there in time to deny Alaadel here (on heavy ground) in April (Dirchill back in third). Will know more here and looks the one to beat on that evidence.
This trip probably a minimum on breeding, and likely to need further before seeing him at his best. Related to a few that handles some cut, so may handle conditions, and needs a market check as yard are 4-20 with 3-y-o's here last 5 years.
Half-brother to some speedy types, but slightly surprising he's not been seen before now (bred to make a sharp 2-y-o) and yard just 1-10 with 3-y-o's at Doncaster last five seasons. Others make more appeal.
Minor promise on debut at Yarmouth but didn't progress on that second start at Newmarket (although it was quit a warm contest). Still looks to have plenty on here and makes little appeal.
Didn't show anywhere near enough in debut here in May to suggest she's up to taking a hand in this, and has ground to make up with the principals on form. Can't be considered a likely winner.
Hasn't beaten a horse home on either start and looks to have far too much on her plate here. Others readily preferred.

Forecasts
Ptarmigan Ridge (1/1), Dirchill (3/1), Gloriux (7/1), Wardy (10/1), Samarmadi (12/1), Chatoyer (12/1), Calypso Jo (20/1), Oscar Ranger (33/1), Pipers Way (33/1), Mischief Managed (40/1), Deciding Vote (66/1), Fille The Force (66/1), Naralsaif (150/1)
The form shown by PTARMIGAN RIDGE and Dirchill is head and shoulders above what anything else has shown, and unless the unraced Samarmardi is ready to go first time up, they may fight out the finish here. They have already met, with Ptarmigan Ridge coming out on top, and he's taken to confirm that form here. Dirchill ran to a similar level of form again next time out and may need to progress again if he's to turn that form around.
- Ptarmigan Ridge
- Dirchill
- Samarmadi
