Looked potentially very smart for Jim Bolger and won a Listed contest back in 2014 but has completely lost his way for this yard and first-time cheekpieces need to see him return to form.
Smart front-runner who produced a career best towards the end of last year in fast ground but versatile with regard to underfoot conditions. Step up in trip is the big question mark but can't be dismissed if he gets this far.
Won a Class 4 at Catterick towards the end of last year and started this season with a fine effort at Catterick. Couldn't back that up in a deeper contest at York last time but still relatively lightly raced and the drop back in trip should do him no harm.
Not at his best in three starts this season but handicapper has dropped him 2lb and a return to softer conditions will be in his favour. Won two of his three starts with soft in the going description (other was debut) and first-time blinkers could eek out more improvement. Should go well with a promising apprentice in the saddle.
Scored back-to-back victories earlier in the campaign and not beaten far here last time. Up 1lb for that effort but he has a plum draw and softer conditions will be no issue. Should go well.
Well beaten on all of his four starts for this yard to date and looks too high in the handicap on what he has achieved so far. Did win a maiden for Andre Fabre last year but needs to find improvement.
Won a Wolverhampton maiden last year and went close back at that course last time, failing to reel in the winner. Likes to race prominently and trainer's runners have to be respected around here, particularly with this jockey in the saddle and no obvious reason why he won't be as good on turf; interesting runner.
Has always looked more effective on the AW than turf and soft ground unlikely to be in his favour. 7lb apprentice will have to be worth every ounce of that claim if he's to score here.
Won her second start but struggled towards the end of last season's campaign. Came on for her reappearance with a good second of 12 at Leicester last time and shapes like she'll enjoy this step up in trip. Could be leniently handicapped but wide draw far from ideal.

MICHAEL'S MOUNT is an interesting runner here returned to soft ground and the first-time headgear could see him in an even better light. Hochfield is an interesting runner given his connectios and he has his first start on tur; it would be no surprise to see him run a big race from his pea draw. Cotinga hasn't fared as well with her stall but there's evidence to suggest she is well-handicapped.
