Rob Cross and Keith Deller both reached darting stardom for winning World Championship titles on debut against iconic opponents in their respective finals - but Voltage will be hoping he can go on and get a second.
Although Cross has gone on to lift the prestigious World Matchplay (2019) and the televised European Championship (2019) since stunning Phil Taylor 7-2 on New Year's Day in 2018, he knows that he'll always be compared to Deller if he's unable to emulate his career-defining moment.
Not that Deller didn't enjoy a successful career after his famous 6-5 triumph over Eric Bristow in the 1983 Lakeside final having also won another BDO major (1987 British Professional) and reached the latter stages of many PDC majors after the split, but the 'one hit wonder' tag will always be assigned to him by some sections of the darting fraternity.
But what if both were able to meet in their prime - who would come out on top?
Here's former major winner and pundit Paul Nicholson with his verdict in the latest of his 'Fantasy Darts' series, which began with Michael van Gerwen v Eric Bristow.
