Eric Bristow and Michael van Gerwen are two of the biggest legends in darts history and enjoyed long periods of supreme dominance in two very different eras - with the latter still enjoying rich success today.
The late, great Crafty Cockney won five world titles between 1980 and 1986 while MVG has managed three since 2014 as well as countless other major PDC titles which helped him remain at the top of the rankings until Gerwyn Price knocked him off his perch by triumphing at the Ally Pally this year.
But what if they were able to meet in their prime - who would come out on top in a fantasy matchup?
Van Gerwen obviously boasts better statistics and average power but you've got to bare in mind that if a young Bristow was at the peak of his powers today, then there's no doubt he'd have risen his game to match - and indeed exceed - the averages we see in the modern era.
