I can't let Corelli go unselected in the Betfair Exchange Old Borough Cup after his near-miss at York over a mile-and-a-half last month. Frankie Dettori's mount, a big horse who should have little difficulty shouldering top weight, is steadily progressive and ought to appreciate this extra two furlongs (he is closely related to the St Leger winner Lucarno) while softer ground may help him too.
Confidence boosting win in France last time and major player here on earlier form at Royal Ascot. Goes well in the mud and big run on the cards under the excellent Cieren Fallon.
Great Scot looks a good bet in the Superior Mile Stakes at Haydock (2.25). The three-year-old won on this card in heavy ground last year and bettered the performance when finishing a close-up fifth in the Group One Vertem Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster behind Magna Grecia after that. Tom Dascombe had high hopes for him at the start of the season and he finished ninth in the 2000 Guineas, before a step up in trip at Royal Ascot didn’t work out. Gelded after that, he returned in the Sovereign Stakes at Salisbury and shaped with plenty of promise. Not beaten far in fourth, he can kick on from that on Saturday at his home ground with the 5lb weight-for-age concession in his favour.

Ed Walker’s charge landed a gamble when making a winning handicap debut here in July and is a strong fancy to resume winning ways in the Fever Tree Handicap. He picked up well to beat Sunsprite by a length-and-three-quarters on his reappearance and ran well on his only subsequent start at Newmarket. He eventually finished fifth behind Kinks in a warm heat there but made good late headway in a race that didn’t play to his strengths. Back to the stiff six here he’s fancied to improve past his rivals, the pick of whom looks to be fellow three-year-old Alkaraama.
FOOTBALL
George Pitts - England v Bulgaria Euro 2020 qualifier
1pt Trent Alexander-Arnold to get 1+ assists at 11/4
With England expected to have plenty of chances, there is an interesting angle to go at in the assists market. Trent Alexander-Arnold is the first choice right-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka pulled out with injury this week and Alexander-Arnold is expected to get the nod ahead of Kieran Trippier.
The Liverpool man has an impressive record for setting up goals. He famously has a competition with club team-mate Andrew Robertson on the opposite flank and has commendable 22 assists in 91 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side.
He is yet to register one in his six England outings but should get plenty of chances to attack on Saturday and he is full of confidence, so this looks like a good price.
1pt Nikolay Georgiev Bodurov to be shown a card at 3/1
With an abundance of tricky youths in England's ranks, frustration or professional fouls could set in for Bulgaria and referee Marco Guida could be forced to bring out the cards. The Italian is not afraid of using them after all, dishing out at least five in his last three games (Champions League, Europa League and Serie A).
Centre-back Nikolay Georgiev Bodurov is the 33-year-old man at the back, captain of CSKA Sofia. In Bulgaria's Nations League campaign, he showed rash tackling with a total of 10 fouls in 6 games, playing the full 90 minutes in all of those. Considering how we expect this game to go, Bodurov's position and history on the international stage, 3/1 for him to be carded is too good to pass up.
It's been an exceptional opening month of the season for Grimsby striker James Hanson, scoring five goals and assisting a further three in six games and Grimsby's 13 goals make them the division's top goalscorers. There is a best price of 11/5 available on Hanson to net anytime in this game. That seems fantastic value given the circumstances heading into this game.
Callum Brittain is taken to score anytime. Brittain's attacking qualities are clear despite lining up on the right side of midfield. He's been averaging just over a shot per game, a great return given his position and his side's fortunes so far. A best price of 19/2 is available on a goal - and it's value worth taking in Saturday's televised game.

F1 Insider - Italian Grand Prix
Leclerc is a worthy favourite to become the first Ferrari driver to win at Monza since Fernando Alonso in 2010. His margin of victory at Spa over Lewis Hamilton (0.981 seconds) disguised what was a routine performance from a commanding pole position. At the other side of the garage, team-mate Sebastian Vettel simply can't extract the same slow-corner performance from his prancing horse that Leclerc is able to coax from his.
Monza is all about that and more - slow-corner acceleration zones and long straights abound, with very little in the way of medium- and high-speed corners that the Mercedes enjoys so much. Leclerc should have enough of a margin to head the inevitable Ferrari 1-2 on Saturday and extend his advantage across 53 laps on Sunday.
NFL
Tom Brady usually relishes playing Pittsburgh – he’s never lost to them at home and only plays better statistically against the Bears in terms of QB rating – and he’s never been intercepted by the Steelers at Gillette Stadium. I think one of those ‘0s’ will go on Sunday, but it’s more likely the pick than the unbeaten run.
