Neil Robertson said "it was the best I've played all season" as he thrashed Stuart Bingham 6-0 in the China Open.
The Australian conceded just 84 points in a one-sided demolition job, compiling a break of 60 or more in every frame as he raced into the last four.
Having started the match with a break of 92, Robertson added an emphatic 143 clearance and further breaks of 80, 73, 62 and 86 saw Bingham ruthlessly dumped out.
Next for Robertson will be a clash with Barry Hawkins, who was taken the distance before beating Tom Ford 6-5.
Hawkins also registered five 50-plus breaks, the highlight a 132 in frame three which gave him a 3-0 lead before Ford fought back.
Hawkins then trailed 5-4 but, after levelling the scores, held his nerve with a closing break of 96.
On the other side of the draw, Mark Selby continued his timely return to form with a 6-2 victory over Mark Williams.
Selby, looking for positive signs with the Crucible fast approaching, signed off with a 143 - his second century of a fairly one-sided success having also produced a 136 break earlier in the day.
He'll face Kyren Wilson for a place in the final, after the Kettering potter came from behind to beat Jack Lisowski 6-5.
"I have got better as the tournament has gone on, and I am really happy with the way I played today," Leicester cueman Selby told www.worldsnooker.com.
"Coming here, I wasn't too confident and didn't know what to expect because my season has been quite poor. I have scored well and gained more confidence now."
