Ronnie O'Sullivan eased into the English Open semi-finals with a 5-2 win over Jack Lisowski in Barnsley.
A 125 break in frame three was the highlight as O'Sullivan - after a tournament disrupted by a stage invader on Thursday and a nagging ankle injury which has led him playing in trainers - enjoyed a quieter night.
He next faces Anthony McGill, who gave a reminder of his quality by beating Neil Robertson 5-3 in a match featuring breaks of 60-plus in every frame but one.
Kyren Wilson will face Alexander Ursenbacher in the other semi-final after beating Hossein Vafaei 5-3. Ursenbacher, who had never previously been beyond the last 32 of a ranking tournament, won 5-0 against Michael White.
Other than the already-qualified O'Sullivan, the rest of the semi-finalists are playing for a place in the upcoming Champion of Champions event. McGill currently occupies the lowest qualifying spot and would be edged out by a win for either Wilson or Ursenbacher.
Quarter-final results
- Anthony McGill 5-3 Neil Robertson
- Hossein Vafaei 3-5 Kyren Wilson
- Jack Lisowski 2-5 Ronnie O'Sullivan
