The jojobet.com Gibraltar Open was snooker's 16th ranking event of the 2016/17 season, and took place at the Tercentenary Sports Hall from March 3-5.
World champion Mark Selby, Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy, Judd Trump, Ding Junhui and Barry Hawkins were among the bigger names in the the field of 128 but Marco Fu opted not to defend the title he won in 2015.
In the end it was two of those big names who reached the final, with Shaun Murphy defeating Judd Trump.
