Yan Bingtao's remarkable run at snooker's International Championship was ended in ruthless fashion by Mark Allen, who won their semi-final 9-2.
Seventeen-year-old Bingtao shocked Ronnie O'Sullivan in the first round and also saw off John Higgins en route to his first semi-final appearance at this level, but was no match for Allen on Saturday.
The Northern Irishman took the first four frames before his young rival fought back with breaks of 73 and 98 to halve the deficit.
Allen responded with back-to-back centuries, however, before breaks of 50, 90 and 72 saw him cruise into Sunday's final, where he'll face Mark Selby. Sky Bet make Selby the 2/5 favourite with Allen a 7/4 shot.
"Mark is an unbelievable player, but he is just a player," Allen told World Snooker's official website.
"If I play my game it doesn't matter what he does. He can play as well as he wants, but it is up to me to control my emotions and play my game. I believe that if I play my best then I will win.
"It's going to be two players going ding dong the whole way through and may the best man win."
