London Broncos tries: Barthau (7), Walker (10), Ackers (16), Williams (53), Dixon (63), Kear (65)
Conversions: Sammut (7,10,16,63,65), Dixon (53)
Halifax tries: Tyrer (2), Cahalane (32), Worrincy (75)
Conversions: Tyrer (32)
London remain in contention for the Million Pound Game after easing past bottom side Halifax 36-14 in the Super 8s Qualifiers.
The Broncos had taken only one point from their first four matches but are now putting pressure on Leigh.
Steve Tyrer's early try gave winless Halifax the perfect start at Trailfinders Sports Ground but William Barthau, Alex Walker and Andy Ackers all went over to put London in control.
Tries from Rhys Williams, Kieran Dixon and Elliot Kear ended Fax's hopes of a comeback after they crossed through Mitch Cahalane before the break and meant Rob Worrincy's late effort was no more than a consolation.
The win takes London to within a point of Leigh, who along with Catalans Dragons occupy the Million Pound Game spots.
Hull KR tries: Minns (40), Shaw (70)
Goals: Ellis (11,40)
Widnes tries: Cahill (23)
Goals: White (23)
Hull KR are back in Super League following a day of high drama in the Super 8s Qualifiers.
Eleven months on from suffering the heartbreak of defeat in the Million-Pound Game, Rovers secured an immediate return to the top flight with two rounds to spare thanks to a nail-biting 12-6 victory over Widnes at KCOM Craven Park.
That followed an equally tense 32-30 win by Warrington over Leigh which ensured Tony Smith's side keep their place in Super League and leaves Widnes to battle it out with Leigh and Catalans Dragons for the other automatic place.
The outcome of Hull KR coach Tim Sheens' 700th club match was decided by an 80-metre interception try from winger Ryan Shaw, who picked off a pass from Widnes second rower Matt Whitley to break up a dangerous attack and sprint unopposed for the match-winning score.
It brought to an end Widnes' three-match winning run but there was never much to choose between the sides in an absorbing encounter watched by a crowd of 8,227.
Warrington tries: Russell (8), Westwood (13), Gidley (34), Brown (40), Hiku (57), Hill (65)
Goals: Patton (13,34), Livett (65,67)
Leigh tries: Clare (4), Hood (15), Maria (19), Vea (46), Burr (59)
Goals: Drinkwater (5,16,20,46,60)
Warrington secured their place in next season's Super League after clinching a hard-fought 32-30 Super 8s Qualifiers victory over Leigh at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
In a frantic game where there was never more than eight points between the two sides, the Wolves trailed 30-24 with 14 minutes remaining and it was captain Chris Hill who claimed a crucial try to haul his side back into the game.
Harvey Livett then took over the goal-kicking responsibilities from Declan Patton and he kept his nerve to land the conversion and then a match-winning penalty soon after to edge the Wolves home.
The Wolves scored six tries in all with others coming from Matty Russell, Ben Westwood, Kurt Gidley, Kevin Brown and Peta Hiku, while they also landed two goals.
It was tough on Leigh who gave their all in defeat and claimed tries through James Clare, Liam Hood, Antoni Maria, Atelea Vea and Lachlan Burr, with Josh Drinkwater adding five goals.
Salford tries: Welham (6, 31), McCarthy (12), Vatuvei (26, 41), Evalds (33), Bibby (45), Murdoch-Masila (65), Jones (75)
Goals: O'Brien (3, 7, 13, 32, 35, 42, 61, 75)
Huddersfield tries: McGillvary (38), Roberts (49), Hinchcliffe (78)
Goals: Brough (50)
Salford snapped their eight-match losing run in emphatic fashion at the AJ Bell Stadium against Huddersfield - the last team they beat more than two months ago.
The lowest Betfred Super League crowd this year - just 1,405 - saw Manu Vatuvei and Kris Welham score two tries each in the 52-14 rout, while Gareth O'Brien made an effortless switch from full-back to scrum-half with an influential performance, kicking eight goals.
Although their hopes of a top four finish are all but over having lost 10 of their last 11 games, it did not show in the first half performance of Ian Watson's side, who led 30-0 just before half-time.
Catalans tries: Inu (6), Wiliame (25), Garcia (27), Moa (76)
Goals: Walsh (6,15), Inu (28,66,76)
Featherstone tries: Brooks (10), Thackeray (35)
Goals: Johnson (11,35)
Catalans Dragons kept alive their hopes of an automatic place in Super League next season with a 26-12 victory over Featherstone.
Hull KR secured their Super League status for 2018 with victory over Widnes, meaning at least one team will drop out this season.
Catalans started the Qualifiers slowly but have now registered back-to-back wins for the first time since April, following their win over Halifax last weekend.
Castleford tries: Eden (13), Roberts (24, 37), Webster (28), Foster (31), Minikin (48)
Goals: Gale (15, 25, 29, 32, 38, 48, 74)
Leeds tries: Watkins (6), Jones-Buchanan (45), Parcell (65), Garbutt (80)
Goals: Watkins (7, 46, 66, 80)
Castleford extended their huge lead at the top of Super League with a comfortable 38-24 victory over second-placed rivals Leeds Rhinos at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
The Rhinos came into the match on the back of a seven-match losing streak to the Tigers, including a heavy 66-10 defeat in the corresponding fixture in March, but they started on the front foot with Kallum Watkins scoring to put them into an early lead.
However, it was one-way traffic after that as Castleford ran in 30 unanswered points with Greg Eden, Ben Roberts (two), Jake Webster and Alex Foster all crossing the whitewash to give the hosts a deserved and dominant lead.
Jamie Jones-Buchanan crossed early in the second half to give the visitors a glimmer of hope before Greg Minikin dotted down for Castleford, for whom half-back Luke Gale landed seven goals from as many attempts. Rhinos hooker Matt Parcell and Mitch Garbutt touched down to round off the try-scoring.
Hull FC tries: Fonua (12, 72), Manu (60), Shaul (66)
Goals: Sneyd (5, 61, 67)
Wigan tries: Gildart (8), Gelling (42, 78), Davies (49), Bateman (80)
Goals: Tomkins (9), Williams (19, 43, 50, 80)
Wigan kept alive their Old Trafford dream with a dramatic 30-22 victory over 12-man Hull at the KCOM Stadium.
The reigning Super League champions scored two tries in the last four minutes to condemn their hosts to a third successive defeat and gain a measure of revenge for their Challenge Cup loss.
The outcome was tough on Hull, who played for an hour a man short following the controversial dismissal of prop Liam Watts but fought back from 20-6 down to lead 22-20 with only four minutes to go.
However, centre Anthony Gelling and second rower John Bateman went over late on to give Wigan victory.
The win lifts Wigan three places up to third in the table with just two rounds left of the Super 8s and leaves Hull needing to beat Wakefield next Thursday to avoid dropping out of the semi-final places.
Wakefield tries: Tupou (11,30)
Goals: Finn (20,31,50,69)
St Helens tries: McCarthy-Scarsbrook (23), Fages (64), Lomax (76)
Goals: Percival (24,64,77)
St Helens kept alive their semi-final hopes in the most dramatic fashion with a nail-biting 18-16 victory at Wakefield.
They looked to have perished in their do-or-die Super 8s clash after trailing for 77 minutes but makeshift centre Jonny Lomax came up with the all-important try that levelled the scores and Mark Percival won it with the conversion.
St Helens moved up to fifth after halting their three-match losing run but they are now only a point behind Trinity, whose own semi-final hopes are now also hanging by a thread.
The outcome was tough on Wakefield winger Bill Tupou who scored two first-half tries, including a scintillating 90-metre effort in which he left for dead St Helens' new marquee signing Ben Barba, to put his side into a 12-6 lead.
