Leigh have signed St Helens centre Matty Fleming on a one-month loan.
Fleming, 21, who has made just two appearances for Saints so far this season, could make his Centurions debut in their Dacia Magic Weekend clash with Salford in Newcastle on Sunday.
Leigh coach Neil Jukes said: "We have monitored Matty for quite a while at the back end of last season and early this season. It is important to us that he is coming at a busy period and will thicken up the squad, especially at centre.
"Matty is a young player who is very ambitious and he wants to catapult his own career and he will get an opportunity over the next month.
"I'd like to thank (Saints chief executive) Mike Rush for allowing this loan move to happen."
Meanwhile, Widnes have handed 20-year-old winger Ryan Ince a new contract for 2018.
Ince, a youth international, has been with the Vikings since he was 14 and is delighted to extend his stay.
"I'm proud to be part of my home-town club and will be working hard to claim my spot on the wing," he said.
Widnes coach Denis Betts said: "We are pleased to have extended Ryan's contract. Ryan has performed well in the Championship and we know that he has real potential as a player."
