Holders Hull edged closer to a second successive Wembley appearance after beating Castleford 32-24 to book their place in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals.
Castleford's hopes of a league and cup double were ended by a disciplined Hull side who looked to score from every opportunity presented to them at KCOM Stadium.
The sides shared eight tries and that meant Jake Connor's kicking was vital as his eight goals went a long way to securing Hull's place in the last four.
Saturday review
Returning star Sam Tomkins landed the decisive drop goal as Wigan edged out Warrington 27-26 to claim a place in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals.
The Warriors full-back Tomkins, making his first appearance since breaking his foot last September, kicked a critical one-pointer with seven minutes remaining at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Warrington, trailing by seven at this point, produced a grandstand finish with Kurt Gidley crossing to get within a point, but Stefan Ratchford and Declan Patton missed late kicks in a dramatic finale.
Wigan dominated early on with Joe Burgess scoring two early tries but they were matched by a Ryan Atkins double.
Liam Marshall, with his eighth try in three games against the Wolves, restored Wigan's lead but further tries were exchanged through Andre Savelio, John Bateman and Gidley before the nerve-jangling ending.
Friday review
Leeds secured their place in the semi-finals of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup with a comfortable 58-0 victory over Featherstone at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
Stevie Ward, Brett Ferres, Joel Moon and Ash Handley all crossed the whitewash in the first half for the 2015 cup winners as they cruised to 22-0 lead at half-time.
Carl Ablett, Liam Sutcliffe and Handley touched down during James Lockwood's 10 minutes in the sin-bin at the start of the second half before a brace of tries from Brad Singleton and a further score from Ryan Hall completed the rout, with Sutcliffe kicking nine goals from 10 attempts for a personal tally off 22 points.
Leeds are now just 80 minutes away from extending their incredible record to a sixth final appearance in the last eight seasons, while Rovers will focus their attention on securing a top-four finish in the Championship for a place in next month's Super 8's Qualifiers.
Thursday review
Salford's revival continued as they reached the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals for the first time in 19 years with an emphatic 30-6 victory over Wakefield.
The side second in Super League proved far too strong for their under-strength visitors at the AJ Bell Stadium, running in five tries in a commanding display.
Three touchdowns came in the first half with Ryan Lannon, Ben Murdoch-Masila and Niall Evalds all crossing before Greg Johnson and Craig Kopczak put the result beyond doubt.
Michael Dobson added the rest of the points with five goals while lacklustre Trinity could muster only a late consolation through Liam Finn.
