Phil Bentham has been chosen to referee Saturday's Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final between Hull and Wigan at Wembley.
Bentham, who was in charge of Hull's semi-final against Leeds, will referee his fourth Wembley final and the second involving Saturday's teams.
Hull and Wigan are both 10/11 with Sky Bet to lift the trophy.
Leigh-born Bentham, 45, got the nod over the other semi-final referee, James Child, who will be the video official at Wembley.
Rugby Football League head of match officials Steve Ganson said: "Phil has delivered consistent performances throughout this year. This match is a reward for those efforts."
Bentham said: "There are some very experienced referees in the match officials team and competition to be appointed to big events like this is huge.
"I'm really pleased with how my year has gone so far and being given the opportunity to referee a game like this between these two sides really boosts your confidence and shows the trust the team has in you."
PRICE BOOST: Jamie Shaul & Sam Tomkins to both score a try is 7/1 from 5/1
