Developed into a smart performer in 2023, winning 4 times including valuable handicaps here and Newmarket late in the season. Far from disgraced in pair of Group 3 contests upon returning this spring and this longer trip with his sights lowered could well see him in a better light.

4-y-o filly who developed into a useful performer in Germany last season, winning listed race at Mulheim (19.9f) in September. Creditable fourth in Group 3 over 11f a month later and she changed hands €180,000 thereafter and the betting could prove useful on handicap bow.

Quickly developed into a smart stayer for P. Twomey in Ireland, winning first 3 starts and placed at Grp 3 level in 2022. Off 18 months/gelded, shaped encouragingly on yard debut when sixth of 9 in handicap at Newbury (16.5f) in April and likely he'll come forward from that run. Cheekpieces on.

Upwardly-mobile son of Belardo who resumed with victory at Ripon (9.7f) and made light of an 8 lb rise when following up at Newmarket (12f) in May. Travelled with plenty of purpose when keeping on fourth in Newbury Group 3 latest and he's completely unexposed at this trip.

Opened his account for present yard at Dundalk (2m) in February and dispelled a couple of lesser efforts on all-weather with a career-best second over this trip at the Curragh 13 days ago, just denied by a progressive 4-y-o. Likely vulnerable to less exposed sorts here, however.

Superbly bred (closely related to top-class pair Baaeed and Hukum) who returned to action with a solid third in Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket in May. Clearly not himself without usual tongue tie (again left off here) in Yorkshire Cup 32 days ago and cheekpieces go on now.

Has few miles on the clock for a 6-y-o and having won 2 of his 4 starts on the Flat last year, made light of a 6-month absence to take a part a competitive lady amateur riders' handicap at Leopardstown (12f) 32 days ago. Has since joined Joseph O'Brien and likely he can progress further.

Developed into a smart performer for David Menuisier, ending 2022 campaign with listed success at Kempton (12f). Winless in 4 starts last term but returned for top NH yard with an impressive hurdles success at Punchestown (2m) in May. Intriguing contender for yard who took this 12 months ago.

Roaring Lion colt who made up into a useful staying handicapper last term and took a step forward (well ridden) when making all on return in 8-runner handicap at Newmarket (12f) 32 days ago, unchallenged. Up 9 lb in a stronger race but he's likely to give another good account.

Did well in Bahrain for this yard over the winter, winning a handicap in December. Not disgraced in Local Group 1/listed events thereafter but returned to these shores with a below-par effort at Epsom (12f) 17 days ago. Looks to have his work cut out in another strong affair. Up in trip.

Took his form up a notch to resume winning ways in good style at Wolverhampton in March and finished placed both starts subsequently, running best race to date when third behind Bague D'or at Newmarket (14f) 44 days ago, well positioned. That may not prove his limit at this trip.

Thrived last summer, recording a 4-timer and signed off with a solid second in class 2 Newmarket handicap (14f) in July. Stepped up on his first 2 starts this term with a good second in Jorvik Handicap at York last month but present mark leaves little margin for error.

Useful at 3, notably finishing third in the Group 2 Park Hill at Doncaster (14.5f, good to soft) back in September. Well-beaten on return in Group 3 Bronte Cup at York 24 days ago, albeit not well served by the steady gallop. Still, she needs to step up a good deal on that. Handicap debut.

Likeable, prolific winning mare (useful hurdler) who won both her starts on the level last year and comes here having shaped encouragingly when third in Down Royal listed event (2m) 18 days ago, faring best of those held up. Remains open to improvement now handicapping in this sphere.

Flat/hurdles winner who ran well making a belated return to the level when second of 6 in Dundalk minor event (12f) back in April. However, had benefit of the run of the race then and this a whole lot more demanding returned to handicap company.

Useful on Flat and even better form over jumps, runner-up in Grade 1 novice chase at Leopardstown (17f) on penultimate start in December. Below best when last seen in the Arkle at Cheltenham in March but he holds each-way claims back on the level despite a career-high mark to defy.

BELLOCCIO needs to prove his effectiveness on ground faster than good but he comes here operating from a very appealing mark and, having run out a most impressive winner on his yard/hurdles debut at Punchestown in May, he could be worth chancing with his top NH stable having landed this prize 12 months ago. A Piece of Heaven, an easy winner at Leopardstown, is feared on debut for Joseph O'Brien. Fox Journey, Naqeeb and Party Central complete the shortlist.
