Verdict

MIDNIGHT GOLD was below her best at Fontwell in May but had previously shaped well when runner-up behind one on an upward curve at Warwick earlier that month. Unexposed at this sort of trip, she's been given a break ahead of this and it would come as no surprise to see a better showing. Townhill had excuses latest and he's a player, with Oceanline another to bear in mind returned to this discipline.
