Verdict

RUSHFORD displayed battling qualities when narrowly getting the better of Pons Aelius in first-time cheekpieces at Sandown recently and, with the likelihood of better to come, he is taken to strike again. Pons Aelius can be expected to give another good account, but he did have the run of things on that occasion, a scenario which appears unlikely here, and a bigger threat may be posed by Alpine Stroll, who has done little wrong this season and remains on a workable mark.

  1. RUSHFORD
  2. ALPINE STROLL
  3. PONS AELIUS (IRE)
