Verdict

THUNDEROUS had a couple of these in behind when edged out in the Ormonde at Chester and was beaten only by Stradivarius in the Yorkshire Cup 2 weeks ago. That represents the best form so he could prove hard to catch over a trip he should stay. The obvious dangers are Enemy and Quickthorn, who both went close in the Sagaro at Ascot, the former arguably unlucky not to win.
