Verdict

KHARTOUM was runner-up in this company at the Curragh in June (form boosted by the third) and was far from disgraced when sixth of 7 in the Thoroughbred Stakes at Goodwood subsequently. Back down in grade, he gets the nod ahead of Neptune Rock, who may yet have more to offer. Tazaral is another one to consider.

  1. KHARTOUM (USA)
  2. NEPTUNE ROCK (IRE)
  3. TAZARAL (IRE)
